The brewmasters from Randers Bryghus have designed a smooth, almost jet-black porter with a creamy light brown head that hangs over the brew due to the oats added at the end of the mashing process. The brew uses 6 different special malts, which contribute great depth and complexity. The taste is rounded off and tied together by discreet smoke notes. The beer is brewed with whiskey yeast propagated at Tullamore's own distillery in Ireland and barrel-aged in used oak whiskey barrels also from Ireland.

Copenhagen 10/2 2019. 33 cl bottle from Meny, Bryggervangen, Kbh Ø. Very descriptive label mentioning Tullamore Dew and their legendary whiskey barrels numerous times and a big barrel in the background if I have not caught the drift.
Pours opaque dark brown with big lightly beige head. Settles as creamy 0,5 cm thick layer of foam obscuring the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is surprisingly weak at first but gets stronger as the beer warms up. Sweet with oaky, boozy notes. Brown sugar with lightly boozy notes of whiskey. Tobacco. Not very smoky for a beer named Smoked Porter.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, soft, creamy, velvety texture.
Flavor is rather sweet followed by a very light bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a light touch of booze and barrel.
I did not get very much barrel for my money. Then again I've mostly used my Tullamore Dew for Irish Whiskies. But a solid porter is always useful.
