Copenhagen 1/1 2016. 50 cl bottle from SuperBrugsen. Simple label - red with the number 12 in black.
Pours dark brown with an off-white head. Settles as a thick creamy layer of foam. Substantial lacing on the side of the glass.
Aroma is of roasted malts, caramel, a little smoke and a sharp sourness.
Low carbonation and watery palate. Thin and almost flat texture.
Flavor is sweetish at first with malt and caramel but soon overpowered by a very strong fruity sour tartness. Quite offputting at first - but you actually get used to it. Aftertaste is sour.
This will not be a guest in my fridge next Christmas.

The brew is clear amber, has an egg-white head that settles leaving a fine lacing. Some curtains.
Smell strong, alcoholic, plums.
Very sweet, fruits, plums, apricots, brandy.
Low carbonation, soft and sticky, a modest dry finish.
Too sweet and boozy to go really well with "Christmas food", but not really bad as a Winter Warmer.
