For this brew we used classic old-school hops, from the Empire of California.
The Result is low on malt flavour, heavy on both bitterness, sweetness and aroma with some warm alcohol.
If there where an Emperor of California, we imagine this would be his drink.

Copenhagen 17/3 2017. 50 cl bottle from Østerbro Vin & Spiritus, Østerbrogade, Kbh. Ø. Label looks like an old typewritten card from an archive. On the back they explain the name.
Pours hazy deep orange with off-white head. Settles as thin creamy layer of foam. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is pretty strong. Old carpet, citrus, heavy alcohol, sugar and glue.
Soft carbonation and medium thick palate.
Flavor is heavy sweet. Followed by a cold coffee bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and boozy. Lingering.
A quite heavy dish - and not entirely pleasant. Too sweet and heavy. But it grew on me as I worked my way through it.
