Our Chili Licorice Porter offers a great taste experience with many nuances. It stands nice and jet black with a dark brown head and a spicy aroma; a little malt, a little smoke, a little licorice. The taste is reflected in that aroma. It is round with a warming touch of the strong ghost chili and with delicious notes of English licorice, added in the last stage of the cooking process. It is a balanced brew, which is aged 3-5 weeks after brewing.

Copenhagen 15/9 2016. 50 cl bottle from Fakta, Frederiksborgvej, Kbh. NV. Nice big no. "1" on the red label to signify that this is No. 1 in Raasted's No. series.
Pours opaque dark brown - almost black - with a light brown head. Settles as a 0,5 cm thick layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is slightly sugary with a licorice sharpness, brown sugar, a little roasted malts and light touch of alcohol.
Soft carbonation and thick creamy palate. Almost flat, viscous texture.
Flavor is heavy sweet followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a nice touch of chili.
If you feel cold and lonely you can get some warmth and a heartburn with this brew.
