Pours a clear, golden color. 1/2 inch head with decent retention and good lacing. Smells of sweet malts, bread mostly. Fits the style. Had a smooth, crisp mouth feel with low carbonation. There is also a chewy aftertaste quality. Tastes of sweet malt mostly and some tang/tartness similar to their Blackberry Wheat, but not nearly as strong. Overall, a little too weak in the malt and too much of the tang, for my taste.

Sample at the brewpub. This brew is a hazy yellow color with a medium fluffy white head that diminishes slowly. Top ring of lace with spots underneath. Wheat and sweet spice in the nose. Light, clean body with wheat and sweet fruit flavors, along with a bit of yeast. The finish is short and fruity with a clean wheat aftertaste. Average overall.

The wheat was a real winner for Alandales. Just a great wheat, I’ll be having more of these – and I believe even beer newbies will like this one.

Clear amber pour, another Alandale fresh frosty producing a great lacey white head. Soapy wheats in the aroma, malty too. And the quaff? Damn fine brew with a heavy wheat backbone, along with a summerspice kick. Semi-dry finish. Don’t fork this up with that lemon crap.

Tangy and crisp, an excellent cut at a wheat. I find most wheats boring – this one was top notch. One or many, this brew works!
