Well, I suggested to Alandales to come up with a nice winter brew, and here it is!!
A nice porter put forth in front of me here we go.
Almost coal black pour, with nice ruby red edges, topped with a pillow top of tan. Nice lace sticking along the way adds to the enjoyment.
Aroma is a subdued malt, with a bit of chocolate just like the quaff. But we also have some dry stout attibutes burnt toast, coffee, and the chocolate pop. Rich and creamy, this was a good winter drinker, Id have no problem working through an evening of porters.

Poured on-tap into a pint glass a deep dark brown/almost black color with two fingers of creamy tan head.
Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, and dark roasted malts.
Tasted of dark roasted malts, coffee, and dark chocolate. Nice coffee finish.
Medium bodied, smooth, and lightly carbonated.
It was nice to kick back and enjoy a couple of those porters from Alandale.

Sample at the brewpub. Pours a nearly opaque dark brown color with a dense dark beige head that dissipates slowly. Thin sheet of lacing. The aroma contains coffee and dark malt along with a touch of hops. Medium-bodied with a coffee and dark chocolate flavor, as well as some malt and hops. The finish is sweet malt at first with a mocha finish. Pretty good overall.
