Interesting keg shaped brown plastic 1 liter bottle with a gold and brown pinstriped label featuring the brewery's coat of arms and not much else. The label itself is in the form of a hop leaf. A tag around the neck proclaims the glory of the purity law and how this beer respects it. Best before 4/4/4, I opened it on 4/8/4. Oops.

Pours a clear deep gold with an almost non-existent white head that is gone in no time. The nose is sweetish, with a distinctly herbal note - not at all unpleasant. The mouth is light and prickly. The taste is vaguely soda pop, like watered down fanta, but with distinct herbal tones - thyme, perhaps. There's also a bit of the sourmash taste that is common to a lot of lower quality Russian brews. The finish features a very slight hoppy bite, which yields to a sweetish aftertaste. Not horrible, but quite forgettable..
