Shiner Mango Kölsch

Poured from a can. Orange in color with a foamy white head. Smells of mango, orange and a slight earthiness. Flavor of mango but not good, light crisp but the flavor isn't working for me.

 

Mine was pretty sour, and according to other's taste notes here further leads me to believe it was either a little past expiration or left in the warmth for too long. Leaning towards the latter. I'd try it again if I was certain it wasn't spoiled.

Translucent medium amber or straw color with lots of carbonation and a billowy white head. Smells mainly of summer grasses with a hint of fruit. Mild mango flavor with a little bit of lemony citrus and saltine cracker. Very little bitterness though there is kind of an off note from the hops. Overall a pleasant summer beer.

Pours a hazy straw, with a ton of endless carbonation, creating a thin white head. Aroma is strong with mango and peach along with a hint of light malt. The flavor is dominated by the mango, but not in a bad way. The mango is not overly sweet and works well with the grain. Very light hop bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is light, smooth, and clean. Overall, a great summer beer.

 

 

 

 

Pours an amber honey mix. Not much head and is gone within seconds. No lacing. Smells like peach Nehi soda. Tastes fruity and a little sweet but almost turns sour at the finish. Good bite to it. Clean and crisp mouthfeel. Overall a good beer. Very summery and light.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Appearance:
Light amber-gold color, hazy. Moderate carbonation. Thin head.

Aroma:
Mango, some sweetness, faint grass, clean, crisp.

Taste/Finish/Body:
Mango is dominant in the flavor, it's not over powering. There's some breadiness, just a hint of honey. Hop bitterness is mild. Finish is dry, yet pretty crisp. Light-medium bodied, crisp, refreshing, slight sharp carbonation, easy drinking.

Overall:
Pretty good Fruit/Kolsch style beer.
