12 ounce bottle into lager glass, best before 4/14/2016. Pours clear orange/light copper color with a 1 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of cracker, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Nice aromas with good balance and complexity of bready malt and earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of cracker, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of cracker, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice complexity, robustness, and balance of bready malt and earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Pretty clean on lager flavors; slight yeasty notes are present. Moderate dryness from bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp, creamy/grainy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.9%. Overall this is a nice Vienna lager. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of bready malt and earthy hop flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/clean to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Mostly clear orange-amber with off-white fizzy head of lower-moderate retention. Aromas of toasted and pale grain, light honey to caramel sweetness, floral hops, not a strong nose. Grainy palate, just toasted enough to not be harsh, some balance-adding malt sweetness, bread, cracker, and pleasant floral to faintly spicy hopping. Medium-bodied, softer medium level of fine suds. Semi-smooth and semi-crisp.

A high level of carbonation, which is pretty common with more mainstream beers to cover up a lack of flavor. Pretty much the case here, with some malt trying to fight a wheat flavor in an attempt to stand out.

Hard to get over the huge blast of DMS off the top that took forever to open up. Literally like a half hour later it finally settled in, but even then there wasn't a ton to enjoy, no depth of bready malt flavor nor noticeable hop contribution. On the palate, aside from some pretty buzzy carb, you do get a sort of lightly caramel maltiness, but, again, not really that melanoidan character you're looking for in an amber lager. Dig me some Shiner, and was interested in this brew, but man that DMS was a little tough to handle. In small doses, not necessarily out of line, but this was a little much.
