Just like the world's largest beer festival, our little brewrey has Bavarian roots and a long tradition of honoring tradition. Which is why we made this märzen-style with German-grown Hallertau tradition. If that doesn't make you polka dance for joy, we don't know what will.

Poured into chalice: color is gold, slight chill haze, head is off white to light tan wit fine to small bubbles, head lingers with solid thin top, some lacing.

Smell is subdued, light grain, malt, toast, some Munich caramel-ness, neutral/earthy hops.

Taste is similar with neutral grain with more classic Marzen notes with grain, toast, malt, caramel, neutral earthy hops.

Mouthfeel is moderately carbonated, moderately sweet, low bitterness, some chalkiness.

Overall I like this as a sweeter marzen style - malt quality and flavor is not deep but notes of the style are present; a chalky presence is noted.

12oz bottle, thanks to Tom for bringing these over for Thanksgiving dinner
L: caramel colored bier with a foamy ivory head
S: toasted grain, light caramel, bread crust, herbal hops
T: nutty toasted grain, caramel, toffee, bread crust, wet grain/mash (?), modest herbal hops
F: medium body, ample carbonation, sweeter finish
O: decent Märzen but I wouldn’t seek it out in the future

Out of bottle. Aroma was light. Clean and fresh. Flavor was crisp with a slight hint of citrus. I thought the choice of hops and malt worked well together. Carbonation was decent. It’s a lighter flavor for a Marzen, but certainly not bad. I enjoyed it.

Pours a dark orange with a clear transparency. Head is a couple fingers of white foam. Aroma is toast, bread, and caramel in a bright malt arrangement. Soft toffee and fig add some extra sweetness. Flavor profile is toast, bread, and caramel with some herbal and spicy hops. Mouth feel is medium in thickness. Texture has a very soft crispness with some bubbly texture behind. Overall, a little on the sweet side, but overall pretty solid.

Served in a 15.5oz Spiegelau tulip from a 12oz bottle.

Look: High dark white head that has good retention with a deep amber body.
Smell: Gentle floral hops.
Taste: Solid. Complex roasted malt.
Feel: High in the mouth with medium carbonation.
Overall: A very solid Märzen that I would definitely recommend.

Pours a reddish amber color with 1 finger of off white foam from a twelve ounce can into a dimpled glass stein. Aroma is muted but some bread notes, flavors of caramel and bread and no off flavors. Decent beer from Shiner.

A bit metallic and astringent. It’s a year old so maybe that’s it.

Bottle, Sep 2025. Poured lighter amber than expected with good one finger head. Lacing less than others but present. Mouthfeel feels watery. Taste is solid, but not as favorable as other 2025 Märzen I’ve had. Overall OK. Love Shiner, toured the brewery, God Bless Texas, glad for the chance to taste it, but won’t be picking up more this year.

Perfectly decent Oktoberfest here, didn't really stand out in any way but drinkable. Nice balance of hops and malt but nothing remarkable. There are definitely many more that I prefer but glad to have tried it just to see what these guys did with their recipe.
