Deep dark brown color where only the brightest of light shines through the edge. Dense head but it does settle to a thin film. Some thin streaks remain as the beer is consumed.
Coffee with a touch of chocolate to the nose.
Leans thin like an Irish Dry Stout. In fact, except for the carbonation (versus nitrogen), this could be a dry Stout. It’s more bubbly, though. The taste is closer to black patent malt than coffee. Any chocolate that’s here is bitter or covered up.
