Sampled at the new Beer bar/brewpub in town, le Saint-Bock, advertised simply as "brown ale", I got confimation from the brewer that it was from their second batch of Pomdher Hütt, you don't wanna know what that means.
Appearance: Brown with red hues, white head with better head retention than the others Beers I had that night.
Smell: Hops are gooey and sticky sweet, pine tar like Kenny Roger's palm and citrusy like the soap he used to wipe it off! This totally hit me by surprise as I'm generally not a fan of this style (if it even is one, but that's another debate).
Taste: Solid C hop attack, but with a body to hold it up, the sweetness comes a bit more forward in the end, but the hop bite didn't let go too easily, it almost had an I2PA kind of thing going on. An balanced Beer that I enjoyed, probably Pascal's best effort yet.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
