Bottle opening smells great. Just figured out the label is a fresh hop background. Makes it look a lot tastier.
A- Cloudy amber. Nice frothy cream-white head. Lacing from receding head tells me later lacing is going to be beautiful. End of pint update: Lacing is just okay for IPA
S-Lychee. Lime. Super fresh grain. Bubblegum. Strawberry. A bit of hand cream (and no, I'm not smelling my hands) Smells young and a little like a pastry.
T- Cream. caramel. Light malt. Hops are surprisingly smooth. Not the hop-bomb I thought it would be. A bit of a soap taste to it. A bit watery.
M- Thin. Low carbonation. I wish this wasn't the case.
D- Easy to drink but a little boring. I tried it pretty warm. I think it might be a better drink when well chilled on a hot day.
Good but... whatever. I would try it again like I said really cold on a hot day. I would recommend it to someone who's never really had a craft I.P.A.

Tasted on May 17, 2009.
This beer pours as a copper color with some haziness. Great looking, the head is not big and disappear fast. The smell is mainly hops with some citrus note. Good smell. Taste is similar to the smell. Floral hops + citrus. However, the hops are timid but are not overwhelmed by citrus. Light bitterness. Mouthfeel is average body and the beer is very refreshing. Easy drinkable. Not a true american IPA. I would class this one in an hybrid IPA (English + American). To me the citrus taste and smell is more like American, however I get some floral hops which is more english to me.

Bottle: Poured a light brown color ale with a medium foamy head with limited retention and consequently no lacing. Aroma of very light citrus hops is a big letdown. Taste is a mix between a weird grainy malt profiles with some very light citrus hops. I am not the most enthusiastic hophead out there but I would expect at least some bitterness notes in an IPA which I am not getting here. Average body with low carbonation.
