Tasted by half-pint at the Pembury Tavern, Hackney, N. London. Poured by a handpump w/o a sparkler.
A: coming in pale copper hue, with a rimmed beer head and low carbonation. All looking natural and fresh.
S: medium-kilned malt-dominated nose, intertwined with a good proportion of fragrant hops (like US varieties) as well as a slightly syrupy aroma of lychees and sweet flower-essence. Overall the nose is quite harmonious, yet quite akin to the same brewery's "Wot's Occurring" tasted right beforehand.
T: good-bodied juicy maltiness comes with a faintly toffee-ish edge, followed by a slightly tea-leafy bitter tinge of hops and lightly-roasted malts... lingering flowery aroma and a mild tannic bitter-sweetness as of dried citrus rind stays deep down the root of the tongue.
M&D: extremely smoothly-textured and refreshing at the same time, thanks to fresh and soft fizziness. A delicious, medium-plus bodied Best Bitter with plenty of juicy hops to boot.
