Unique Brew Cold in Fusion Coffee Brown Ale from The Whistler Brewing Company along with The Whistler Roasting Company - Comes in a 950ml Boston Growler style bottle - 5.5% ABV - 32 IBU - Pours a dark black that you might expect from something with coffee in the name and is covered by a thin white head that shrinks fast leaving a thin layer of bubbles. The starts with a dark brewed coffee along with hints of vanilla, dark chocolate and roasted malts. The taste leads with malt, vanilla, burnt sugars and coffee and ends with a light bitterness. Actually the coffee taste is not as pronounced as I expected from the nose, but this is actually a good thing. Sometimes the coffee flavour in a lot of coffee infused beeper can be overpowering, this actually enhances the beer. The mouthfeel is on the light to medium side with just the right amount of carbonation to give it a crisp finish. A pretty good beer. Good job Whistler Brewing.
