A- Well first things first....this is very heavily carbonated....like the can was hard and has to be poured slowly and in steps, as the head becomes overpowering very quickly and is noisy and bubbles in hard fashion....once it settles down, it retains a solid half finger of a more familiar look....creamy, dense, and just off white in colour. The brew itself is orange-amber-golden in color and shows off quite a bit of suspended wheat that makes it opaque in nature. The lacing is pretty much non existent, with the foamy head sliding back into the liquid in quick fashion...kind of watery. Overall a mixed bag of what I'm looking at....decent though
S- There is a Summery orange/citrus like aroma about this one primarily, with some crisp spicy wheat malt, juicy citrus fruits (orange, tangerine, grapefruit) noticed, and a finish that is almost sugary sweet, of pulp and perhaps just a tinge of dry hopped bitterness that keeps everything clean.
T- The flavors follow suit to the aromas quite well, with orange, and other citrus fruit/rind primarily the flavors, with crispy wheat malt putting a little peppery spice on the fringes, along with some clove and nutmeg spice added into the mix. The finish is of a slightly hop bitterness that cleanses the palate and provides an overall fresh take on this style!
M/O- The mouthfeel leans into more of a medium-light feel and as the appearance suggested, the carbonation is actually quite aggressive, even though I though it had mellowed out. It is a crisp, flavorful, Summertime Wheat Ale that would be great in hot weather, however, at the time I'm trying and reviewing this one, it is cool and late into the Fall, but I still am finding enjoyment out of it, and find it quite drinkable....no problems enjoying more than one of these in a sitting! I will definitely seek this one out again, and more preferably enjoy this on the patio when the time is right....Cheers!
