BOILERMAKER BY TUBORG is a unique Tuborg beer with the addition of special malt; whiskey - bourbon.
The common of the iconic American bourbon, symbol of the underground American culture era and new beer «Boilermaker by Tuborg» is a special malt used in brewing.
While creating Boilermaker by Tuborg Baltika Breweries experts tried to get the most similar whiskey-like flavor shades, in particular bourbon. This became possible because of adding the special malt "whiskey bourbon", the physical properties of which allow to keep and combine both, beer and whiskey, flavors. It is noteworthy, that the malty flavor of the drink is revealed gradually, not all tones at once.
A distinctive feature of this sort is 7% alcohol by volume, and this is optimal level to combine both a refreshing beer taste and whiskey rich aromatics. The alcohol by volume of Boilermaker by Tuborg is achieved by natural fermentation solely.
Boilermaker by Tuborg is created for the young people older than 18 years, for those, who are not afraid to try something new, departing from classics. The specialty from Tuborg – the beverage made of natural ingredients, can become perfect alternative to cocktails, which combine strong spirits and fizzy drinks.
*The modern yeast cultures, if the conditions are observed, allow to brew a beer with 12,5% alcohol by volume.

0.45 l bottle, lemon acid, apple acid, aroma enhancer - full shit bouquet.
Pours clear light copper with fizzy white head, low retention.
Smell - synthetic, malty, whiskey notes.
Taste - sweet, malts, apple. That's all, looks weird. Neutral palate.
Medium body, soft carbonation, not boozy.

Nice dark color that promises a lot more than it delivers. Way too sweet. With an alcohol concentration of 7% it isn't an actual boilermaker, obviously. Synthetic aftertaste with fusel oil byproducts apparent. Does NOT grow on you. Much like Zima, few people will ever buy a second one - or even finish the first one. I know I didn't. Once again I'm left wondering what happened to Baltika's fabulous ICE beer? That was the best product they ever put out, and they discontinued it for no apparent reason. Stupid move.
