This is a part of a triple parallel review of Tuborg Grøn (the standard Pilsner), Tuborg Hvid (a variant inspired by pale ale) and Tuborg Blå (a darker, sweeter lager). The Hvid and Blå beers are sold in the summer of 2007, the future of those two is uncertain.
The colour is amber; the finger thick head is off white and airy. Almost no lacing at all.
The quite simple smell is sweet and a bit roasted. Sticky notes of fruit candy and some malty flavours.
The taste is very sweet with lots of artificial flavours; fruits and wine gums (the list of contents includes flavouring and caramel colouring). I had expected a lot more malt. The aftertaste is short and mild with some sweetness. It is rather anonymous.
The carbonation is average for a lager. Some medium sized bubbles.
A weak beer, especially when compared to Tuborg Hvid.

This is my favorite of the Tuborg lagers. It is very similar to the white Tuborg, but with a different variety of hops. The hop content is still higher than the green Tuborg. Very fresh tasting beer with high drinkability and great mouthfeel. Very pleasant surprise.

My immediate thoughts were: "This is a lot like Tuborg Pilsner Hvid/White without the same complexity of hops flavor.
A: No sustained head
S: Smells of one not-so-dominant hop, unlike the White/Hvid pislner which is more complex.
T: Not as exciting compared to the white pilsner. It it toned down with a detectable bitterness that was not present in the white.
M: Bubbly, but mostly smooth
D: Not as easy to drink because of the slight bitterness.
