Catch up rating from notes, 2012: 500 ml Bottle from German market, well before Christmas (it's still fest season!). Light amber pour, foamy head dissipates quickly. Aroma is sweet malts, some fruitcake notes. Taste is more of the malty sweetness, with some savory notes thrown in, peppery. Solid amber with a nice snap.

Found this brew today in a local grocery, I miss the American craft Christmas lineup again this year living in Germany, so I'll take what I can get. Maybe I can pretend it's Mikkeller since they're both Danish:)
Fra Til pours..(just kidding) Tuborg pours a light ruby-tan tone, slight cherry red around the edges. Nicely carbonated in the body, but produces a rather weak head that dissapates all too quickly.
Aromatically a bit more malty than the apperance suggests, swet malt, light candied sugar, slight caramel spice, biscuit, aroma is rather one note however..not off to a great start.
Flavor starts to pull things out of the nosedive, malty, biscuity, caramel again, but a slight peppery-rumlike finish that was not apparent in the aroma.Anice carbonated finish keeps you reaching for the glass.
Not outstanding, nothing really "Christmas"about it, but a decent brew nonetheless, anything to warm me on this -12 night!!

Well, not as dark as I would have hoped. It comes out of the bottle as a light tan/red with fair if not short lived head. The smell is very light and easy going, no hint of excessive hops or caramel. The taste, hmmm. An easy going light on the tongue type of beer with little aftertaste. As slight touch on the sour side for a pils, but overall a beer that would go well with any meat meal.
