The Game on Rookie Pale Ale from WI is good...worth a try. The beer poured a hazy copper with thin white head that is lacing nicely. The scent is slightly malty with hints of fresh hop....more bitter/piney. The taste has a more malt base that boutiful hops. The beer starts sweet then finishs bitter. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its ok.

pours out a hazed copepr colour with a thin off white head. sparse lace. aroma heavy on the malts...brown sugar and with some vegetal hints. taste pretty much follows what the aroma told me...straightforward munich type of maltiness, sweet for sure with some vegetal notes and a hint of alcohol. it's sort of messy in the flavour department. there is a touch of back end bitterness but the hopping does little to add any real depth. the body is fullish i suppose from the sweet, semi cloying malt bill, which segues into an oily slick mouthfeel barely offset by any hop bitterness. it's certainly drinkable but not all that enjoyable.
overall a pale ale that is entirely forgettable. too oily slick for an APA. not recommended.
