Bottle from JohnGalt1. Above average NW IPA, lots of hands in the kettle here. Nice deep golden pour, small but sufficient head. Nice balance of malt and hops, for proto-typical NW IPA.

Pours clear light orange... Foamy white head shows pretty good lacing and retention.
Nose is weird for a "PNW IPA"... instead of the traditional pithy citrus/pine it is much more grassy/spicy and herbaceous... Pine shows up with warmth.
Flavor is definitely "Old Skool" IPA... Light pine with more spicy/big grassy hops.. malts balance too much IMO as dry toast and a bit of biscuit..
Light body with good drinkability.
Out of all 6 of the CBC beers, this was the outlier.. How the fuck can they do a "PNW" IPA and not have it super hoppy?!?!? I guess this would have been considered "hoppy/bitter" maybe 15 years ago, but for modern palates Mirror Pond has a more clearly defined hoppiness.
I appreciate the effort but don't care for the outcome.
Too bad.. I wanted to like this one more... They should have made a tongue demolishing DIPA .... Let Barley Brown's+Boneyard have a crack next time around... Just sayin'.
