The beer pours a nice and bubbly white head that dissipates quickly but still leaves some nice patches on the top of the beer. The beer itself is a clear pale gold, which makes the beer quite light colored for the style. IT's still a good looking beer but it's kinda of hard to match Oktoberfest with this light a beer.
The smell is a nice sweet and malty combination with a slight hint of citrus to it. The light caramel like notes make it smell like the style and the light hop bitterness is strong enough to be present but not overwhelm the malts. The hop note is a unique citrus and grassy combination that makes itself known.
The taste has the same notes but the strengths are different. The hop bite is more assertive than in the smell but does not quite overwhelm the bready and sweeter malts. Rather, the taste is fairly balanced between the hops and malts, making a nice beer to drink.
The feel is nice. The beer goes down smoothly and a bit of carbonation makes it feel heavier and leaves a nice refreshing finish. However, the beer feel surprisingly light for a medium bodied beer, which detracts from it a bit.
Overall, a good and unique Oktoberfest but nothing to lose your mind over. The hop choice is certainly unique and adds something. That being said, it's definitely worth getting a pint of.
