Ninkasi makes good hoppy beers. This is a good beer that I rated originally on 8/23/2020. Pours a standard clear golden color with a medium head. A nice citrus flavor with a bittersweet finish.

Bottle from Albertsons. Pours out a nice, deep golden color with soft, creamy white head, some lacing. Malt dominates the aroma, smells like the wort on brew day. Hops kick in at taste, stinging the palate a bit, but still allow the malts to have their say. Bitterness lingers.

Malty as much as hoppy, and the hops certainly are NOT "bold" as advertised. Not as "gloriously crisp" in the mouth and on the tongue as it is syrupy sweet.
Not great beer, and not good value at $10.99 for a 6pk.

an overly malty ipa that tastes in a lot of ways like it has been sitting out in the sun all day, some skunk to it right away, a sweetness that doesnt belong with the hops in the mix, and a sort of hoppy amber more than anything else, really didnt appeal to me as much as i tried to like it. i am normally a fan of the hoppy ninkasi stuff, and was excited to see this one, but it really didnt tickle me right. some piney hops here in nose and taste, honey and baked bread, caramelized long boiled malty sweetness, a slight nutty element, and a lot more substance than i think the beer needs. the hops do get bitter in the end, but its too late to make this even close to balanced, and while i didnt see a date or a best by on the beer, it really tasted sort of past its prime. sturdy body and fine carbonation, layers of grain and pine go back and forth, an english element is in play too. maybe better suited to fall than summer, i kept dipping back into this wanting to like it more, but just couldnt get there. a few less than amazing ninkasi beers in a row now for me...

Bomber poured into a large Duvel tulip, Beer Run is clear gold with off-white head, creamy and frothy.
Smell is bright hops, sweet citrus and cereals (pils grain?). Almost a bit like the tropical esters of some saisons, which I love.
Taste is more sour citrus, lemony as others have noted, with an acrid grainy bite mid-palate (that provides nice balance), and lingering fruity finish.
Mouthfeel is light and oily, with a dry finish.
Drinkability is good, a very solid IPA right in my preferred style of light and bright. One of my favs from Ninkasi.

Slightly hazy straw, thin head, abundant lacing
Piercing malty pine scent, with subtle tropical notes
Creamy citrus, followed by a fairly strong grapefruit crush
Intensely sour, but I'm quite attuned; Lemon fanatic here!
Well into this 22 the crisp bubbles danced bold on me mouth's roof, and blended splendidly with the tropical creaminess!
A good thing I dig IPAs ... Out West, an abundance almost overwhelming!!
