Bottle was a 2006 GABF left-over that was given to me as a reward for my volunteer efforts. Thanks a million to GABF and to Ninkasi Brewing for the opportunity. Entered into judging in category #18 (Munchner Helles).

Pours a half-finger white head over a fresh straw-golden ale. Smells clean pils malt with saaz tin hop character. Clean fresh grain that's very enticing. Hallertauer rounded flower hops.

Tastes hoppy compared to what I was expecting. Hallertauer hops with rough grassy coho. Gentle acrid sting from carbonation cleans the palette. Malt sweet on the fore of the tongue with a touch of sour tang from hops. Malty finish is dry, like vienna malty.

Md thick mouthfeel with drying sharp finish.
