This is one good IPA. Bright hoppy/tropical fruit taste using a mild hop for flavoring. No bitterness on the finish that lingers. Straight up very good IPA. Rated 1-17-2019

Pours a pale gold color, clear with a white head. Smells fruity like lemon blossom and oranges. Tastes of citrus fruit up front with a bitter but wet finish. Kind of a light version of the Tricerahops which is a beer I really like.

Poured from 12oz can into my BeerAdvocate teku. Can says best by 8/5/20.
Appearance: nice golden hue with a moderate haze and two fingers of frothy ivory foam. I like it.
Smell: slightly sweet, with a nice orange peel aroma and bitterness. This is marketed as a West Coast IPA, and I think they captured the style well.
Taste: citrusy, herbal, earthy hops, with just a hint of tropical character. It's a little bit on the sweet side, and bitterness is a little lower than I typically associate with a West Coast IPA, but generally it's quite a tasty beer.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a moderate carbonation and decent creaminess.
Overall: I like this beer quite a lot. It's obviously been influenced by NEIPAs, but still maintains a West Coast identity. Additionally, it is super drinkable.

Bottle from Hops & Bottles. Bright golden pour, small tight head, mild haze. Light hoppy aroma, bready malts. Taste brings more of the classic hop / malts combo, a bit more bitter than an APA. No trends here, straight up no frills IPA.

12oz can from Ninkasi, best by May 05 2020. Straw yellow in color, mostly but not quite clear, with a more than healthy foamy head. Pleasantly sweet aroma of tropical fruit and pine sap goodness. Flavor has a stronger, more assertive classic PNW pine hop profile and only a hint of melon. Dry finish. Well balanced and not harsh or bitter despite the inevitable hop-forward design of a West Coast IPA.

a fresh and tasty ipa here, well dry hopped but also a little bitter, maybe somewhat more approachable than the last generation of hoppy beer from these guys, but still west coasty, scratches the ipa itch for me pretty well, even if its not all that unique or distinctive. almost clear, golden and bright looking, holds its short white head, and smells like bitter citrus, wet pine, and a trace of honey malt. its simple in its build, but is real professionally done and well proportioned, a touch of grain sweetness and body to it, but dry in the finish and very clean on the fermentation side. its got high carbonation to carry the hop freshness through the whole drink, orange and grapefruit notes from the hops, even a faint berry note thats pretty cool, but i cant imagine any real unique varietals are put to use here or anything, its a bit samey, just really well executed. lively and easy to drink, bitter enough to fit in with their other hoppy beers, but maybe a little more sessionable than a lot of them have been over the years. a good but basic ipa overall here, a good addition to their lineup, ill enjoy the rest of the six pack in the fridge!

L: Golden orange with a one and a half finger frothy ivory head, decent retention, and some clumpy lacing.
S: Standard west coast fare - pine resin and some citrus.
T: Follows the nose with a bit of turpentine strength.
F: Off dry medium body and average carbonation.
O: Can't fault this for style but it's a bit one-note and simple for this drinker these days.
