With refreshing, delicate raspberry and lime notes and just a touch of sea salt, this unfiltered wheat ale is our Northwest take on a classic European beer style.

Nice berry taste with a hint of lime and hops. Don't really notice the sea salt. Goes down smooth, a great cooler for a warm summer day or evening. Aroma of raspberry is medium strong. For a fruit beer I really enjoyed this one. Rated 5-4-2019

a gose with raspberry and lime. it seems like nobody can get let a gose be a gose anymore, which i think is a shame, as the base beer seems to all the time be obscured by the additives to the point that its almost unrecognizable as a gose, just a little salt and a little lactic tang on a bland and covered up wheat body, nothing to it. this isnt as guilty as most, but its on that track, where the added flavors are a lot more powerful in the mix than the natural beer ones. fortunately, the beer is pretty good, summery and drinkable, and the synergy between the raspberry and lime is nice, without it totally running away in the flavor. there is some citrus flavor to the souring profile that works well with the lime, usually i get lemon from it but here i get lime too, nice. the pink hue is more intense than the raspberry actually tastes, and to me its almost a generic berry, raspberry sure, but could also have some others in the mix. enough wheat to still feel like a beer which is important, but maybe less carbonation than these summery outdoorsy flavors want. the sourness is clean, the residual sugar is thankfully lower than most, but the salt element is missing a little bit for me. overall this seems to be riffing on a trend, which is fine, but i miss a basic gose, they are harder and harder to find now, especially from american breweries. the beer underneath the fruit seems promising too...

From a can to a tulip. Best by 3/28/2019.
Pours a hazy reddish-peach grapefruit meat color. The head is a thick, two-finger white with a hint of pink. Good retention and nice lacing.

Aroma is bright and noticeably Gose. The raspberry and lime are strong and sweet smelling but there is also a bit of coriander. Sourness comes through moderately. Noticeable salt. Very pleasant overall.
Taste is tart and fruity. Lime juice up front with a sweet raspberry finish. Medium lactic sourness. Light malt flavor. Restrained saltiness is nicely balanced. Coriander spice provides a lemony note. Hop bitterness is low to none. No detectable alcohol.
Mouthfeel has a medium-light body, high carbonation, and a refreshing almost watery finish.
Overall, a very good Gose. I don’t know why Ninkasi doesn’t call it a Gose because it so obviously is. Maybe for marketing reasons, but why not give credit to the style? My only negative about this beer is it is a little too sweet. But that could just be me.
