12oz can from Albertsons. Hazy, pale golden, small frothy head. Aroma is mildly hoppy, malty. Taste features faint citrusy hops, lemons. Finishes weak.

On tap at Hawthorne Theater.
The nose is pure fruity hops, not unlike a Wrigley's Juicy Fruit, with citrus, stone fruit, melon and no bitterness. There's a mild malt presence that doesn't add much to the hops. On the palate, this opens very fruity with a modern tropical blend, but completely bereft of bitterness. This lack of balance makes this get bothersome after a while. Meh.

12oz canned with a Best Buy Christmas 2020, poured into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint.
A: Bright golden straw with a fluffy off-white head; there is some sediment suspended in the glass, probably from this brews age.
S: I'm expecting the worse but I like this, not overly malty with definite sweetness and juicy aromas of citrus pith, mild grapefruit, some indistinct tropical fruit very faint pine and resin, and bready malt.
T: Follows the nose with some juicy flavors of grapefruit and generic tropical fruit, with more of that sweet bready character emerging as this one warms up. Definitely retains some resiny bitterness on the finish.
MF: Lighter bodied brew that's easily drinkable.
O: Really not too bad for a beer that's obviously past its prime. An enjoyable IPA.

Hazy pale gold with one finger of white foam. Rings of fine bubble lace appear as the levels drop.
Smell is tropical fruit and orange.
Taste is tropical fruit bready malt and a bit of pine.
Mouthfeel is medium with good carbonation. The finish is mildly dry and bitter.
Overall a decent lightly hazed IPA. Best by date 12/25/2020.

Poured from 12oz can into my BeerAdvocate teku. Best by 7/29/20.
Appearance: light golden hue with a light haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop. It's attractive.
Smell: earthy and tropical fruit aromas; papaya and a little orange. I like the composition, but the volume could stand to be turned up a little.
Taste: tropical fruits; guava and papaya come to mind. It's definitely on the earthier side of the spectrum, with not much mango/orange/pineapple. Bitterness is on the moderate side; maybe even a little high for modern "juicy" IPAs. I like it, though; it's got an interesting flavor combination and the hop bite keeps it refreshing.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and creaminess. Great!
Overall: I am liking this beer a lot. I got it in a Ninkasi mixed 12-pack, and I'm not sure if this beer is available outside of that context. But if you come across it, it's worth trying.
