In the deserts of the southern hemisphere, a mysterious deity lingers. You may not always be able to see Eclipsosaurus, but a massive wingspan beats powerfully, whirling notes of fresh citrus and melon through the air. Legends of Eclipsosaurus’ mythical power tell of an ability to move the moon, sun, and stars from the sky itself. Will these celestial wonders continue to shine over all the land?

Rated 8-22-2022.Had again last night 12-12-2023. Pours a semi-clear golden color with a medium head that dissipates rather quickly with lacing. The aroma is tropical fruit with a little more towards the orange side, with some sweetness. The taste is sweet up front and goes to bitter in the middle and to the finish. There was a little bit of sediment in the bottom of the glass also. Good beer. BOD 4-21-2023

19.2oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace. It smelled of grapefruit, orange and caramel with resiny notes. Sweet fruity taste with toasted caramel and a piney bitterness.

Really cool art and can, a more subtle IPA which is what I like, some fruit some hops but nothing that hits you in the face, hard to believe in 7.2 abv.

This is somewhat better than the typical hazy IPA. The fruit is a little beyond but popping open the mega can you at least have expectations of alcohol-disguised juice. And so it is, but quite drinkable.

Cloudy amberish brew with abundant foam in the wine tumbler. Pleasant citrus smell. Moderate acidity to go with the sweet orange and canned peaches. The stuff does get a little too sharp after the first glass. Some astringency and woody grape stems go along with the sugar. Just sip, sip, sip. From the 19.2 oz can purchased for $3.99 at Fred Meyers.

Picked up a 19.2oz can that was packaged two months ago.

Overall I haven't been very impressed with the Ninkasi Legends series, but this is probably my favorite of the bunch.

The beer is more hazy than I anticipated, but looks great with no yeast chunks.

Solid 1.5" head that settled, leaving lacing throughout the beer.

Light mouthfeel for a hazy IPA. This was also more bitter than I anticipated for a hazy, fruity IPA. It wasn't "juicy" which is actually refreshing at this point.

Overall it's good, but nothing crazy. I wouldn't be upset if I bought a six-pack of it. I liked it, but wouldn't buy it again.

Very turbid gold with four inches of fine bubble head. Fine bubble rings of lace as the levels drop.
Smell is mango fruit and bready malt.
Taste dank green fruity pine and bready malts.
Mouthfeel is medium with good carbonation. The finish is medium and well balanced.
Overall a tasty IPA.

19.2oz stovepipe grabbed from my local Winco along with a lemon pepper rotisserie chicken...dinner of champions, these two complement well surprisingly! In typical Ninkasi fashion for IPA's this one one is moderately hoppy, has impressions of zesty grapefruit and pine, has a hefty biscuity malt backbone, pushes some decent bitterness across the palate, and is overall fairly unremarkable. Not sure how old the can is (date smeared) but it did the job and now I won't need to try it in the future...

Pours an opaque orangish gold color with a two finger foam head.

Smells of citrus and pine as so many do.

a bit of a juicy taste in the front, fades to a bitter grapefruit taste. Nothing special or different into the finish.

19.2 oz. stovepipe can from Fred Meyers in Salem OR.
$3.99 ( outrageous). Dated 10/24/22. So should be fresh
Lovely can art.
Pours a slightly hazy dark yellow with a nice frothy/bubbly white head.
Aroma is of floral and fruity hops. mainly floral. But getting some peach and mandarin. Plus, the teeniest bit of dank.
Weird flavor profile. Floral hops are there but the fruity hops turn vegetative. Orange is there but it's incredibly subdued. and dull.
Mouth feel is dull and insipid. Low carbonation and stickiness
A bad IPA. Ninkasi can do so much better.

16oz can from the Grapevine. Orange golden pour, hazy, fluffy white head subsides. Musty, malty aroma, light fruity notes. Taste is muted tropical fruit, dry, bready malts. Not sure of the date on the can ( smeared), but this is a very underwhelming beer

Pint can served in a stemless wine glass. Good and hazy, with a thick white foam. Kinda chunky looking. Aroma has a lot of tropical punch flavors, like passionfruit and guava. Flavor adds a bit of spice, with pine sap and resin joining pineapple and fruit flavors. This is not the most juicy tasting NE IPA, but it certainly has the aroma for it. Very very good nonetheless.

This is another attempt from to start liking IPAs. The Ninkasi Legends Series has caught my attention and taste buds. I must say the 7.2% ABV is a nice attractive as well. Overall, a very enjoyable beer that can be easily found for in pint size cans for under $3 anywhere in southwest Oregon. Definitely a keeper.

brand new one from ninkasi, seems like not a ton of innovation hitting boise lately, so i was pleased to see this. its a solid beer, a little dense and heavy for all day drinking, bordering on an imperial, even without a super high abv, it just has that weight to it. that said, the hop profile is awesome, and i think overall this is a winner from these guys. real murky brew, feels that way too, frothy white head from the tap though, and a really fresh nose, green grape, honeydew melon, white grapefruit, lemon verbena, a little greenness to it but its bold overall and as such not unexpected, some starchiness from the grain evident too, and very little from the yeast thankfully. the hop flavor is just as good, a little more northwestern than it smells, but equally fresh and pungent, starting early with cut flowers, pine boughs, and bitter orange, then moving as it warms slightly more tropical, even a coconut note to it, and some lightly warming alcohol. lots of structure, near heavy, but the carbonation is great and its pretty dry. i think this could be refined a little more, less body and a little brighter feel overall would match the hop profile better, but i was impressed with the hops, would love to know what varietals are in play here. hopefully this is the beginning of a wave of new flavors from ninkasi!
