On tap at Bier Stein, Eugene OR $4.00 for a 12 oz glass, poured into Deadlift tulip.

Brewed in collaboration with Bier Stein for their 5th anniversary, High Five features four hop varieties (Magnum, Centennial, Simcoe, Amarillo) and while the malt bill wasn't available, I suspect a like minded number of malts for balance in the NW hoppy Imperial Red Ale.

One finger light tan head, fairly quick dissipation with significant number of lacing rings on sides of glass. Clear dark red/amber body, streams of carbonation rising along the sides of the glass. Nose is sweet malts, the hops are pretty well hidden by the sweetness. The taste is quite sweet up front with some citrusy hops, though no one hop variety dominates the taste, leading to a bit of a resiny finish which began to linger as the beer warmed. Mouthfeel was fairly full, sweet, not too sticky. Not ultra drinkable at this ABV, the alcohol was fairly noticeable. While this was fairly tasty, IMO this isn't the quality of Deranger, but certainly a nice anniversary beer.
