i was totally not expecting this, just saw golden ale on the menu and went for something light, but the first sip blew me away, i instantly knew it wasnt just a golden ale, but couldnt quite place what i was tasting, would have guessed grape pixie sticks added or something, but looked it up to learn its done with weed terpenes, and it made perfect sense. this sort of thing is becoming more and more common, but this is by far the best of them i have tasted so far, its got some og kush strains in it, and mosaic cryo hops, just an awesome combination of aromas and flavors, so dank and weedy, like the first sniff of a freshly opened jar of killer buds, just unreal, the mosaic flatters the weed perfectly, and more than anything i love that this isnt an ipa, the lightness of the base golden ale lets these flavors shine but also keeps this squarely in the session range, easy drinking despite all the flavor, even a little addicting to me. nice and clear for one thing, good head on it from the tap, and a nose of purple grape candy, white grapefruit flesh, tomato vine, skittles, danky waxy hash, and sweet orange, wow its fresh and vibrant and popping, more pineapple mosaic character as it warms, but i hardly let it. great carbonation, finishing cleanness, and long flavor climax, truly one of the more surprising and interesting beers ive had in some time, and a total triumph. easily the best weed beer ive had, this terpene profile offering infinite potential for the future too, downright stoked about that. cool to see ninkasi do something this relevant again, its been ages. not to be missed, wow!
