Taster at Filling Station. Medium amberpour, small off-white head. Squash aroma, more fruit than spice. Taste of the brew fades, kind of weak, a little bit of spice.

this is the best pumpkin beer i have had in a long time, really good stuff here, and the highlight of the beers i have had from these guys so far hands down. its made with a lot of real pumpkin, as well as some honey and spices, but its not over spiced at all, the squash is really forward in this, and its autumnal and earthy, a great partnership between the malts and the pumpkins has been struck up here, and i could drink pint after pint of this one, the perfect fall beer really. there is a little floral sweetness to it, but it plays up the natural squash sweetness of the pumpkin, and with the toasted grains gives it an almost roasted character as well. the honey is awesome in here, subtle but critical, but the pumpkin leads the thing, as it so rarely does in "pumpkin" ales, seems odd, but its true! this is smooth and not too sweet, its nutty but not objectively malty as they go, and sort of almost drinks like a hybrid between a more common pumpkin ale and an oktoberfest, at least it has that kind of grain profile. mild clove and vanilla notes here, relaxed carbonation, and something nice and hearty about it. really a wonderful specimen, exactly what i want out of this style, and a beer that actually restores some of my lost faith in it. awesome stuff!
