a fresh and excellent example of the style here, another good beer from these guys, not sure why they dont seem to get much attention from the beer nerds, this is not just another run of the mill tourist town brewery, they are making some really good beer, this is one of the better basic pils types i have had anywhere in the state, and they deserve more love than they seem to get. i like the lightness of this, the brisk texture, fast finish, and rushing carbonation, i want my pils to feel alive like this, the feel is almost more important than the flavor here, or maybe as important. the malt is really light and the lager yeast is obviously european but simpler than many, lighter in the mix, minerals and noble hops to finish, not a whole lot to it, but there is nice balance, all the elements can be appreciated and enjoyed at once, and its a very cohesive and polished recipe overall to me. patient lagering, very clean and tidy, and a little bitterness from the hops gives this some snap. a nice session pils for the upcoming warmer weather, they should keep this around at least through the summer. very good.
