On draught at the brewpub, served in a shaker pint, Irishmen Amber is auburn with a small off-white head that leaves scattered lace.
Smell is pleasantly malty and clean, a light caramel sweetness.
Taste is good, a very clean amber, nice malt flavor with little to no sweetness. Exceptionally well made if a bit boring, a beer like this leaves no where to hide flaws.
Mouthfeel is dry, medium light body, crisp.
Drinkability is high, this is a definitive session ale, which is admittedly a function of it's simplicity.
