The beer is hazy dark straw colored, has a white head leaving good lacing, medium curtains.

Grain, corn. lemon and some red apples.

Starting sweet white bread, then orange marmalade, and bitter grape-fruit peel.

Medium high carbonation, soft with a good body, a somewhat coarse dryness.

A good lager, maybe - for me - a bit too much bitter hops to keep the balance.

The liquid is semi-cloudy, the colour orange-yellow (15 EBC). The finger thick head is warm white, it sinks quickly leaving some lacing.

The smell is yeasty with some minerals and wheat flour. It is balanced and quite German with flowery bitter notes.

The taste starts off with a fresh bitterness. Some green notes of cut flowers. Yeast. It is dry and a bit unclean in a desired Kellerbier way. Medium body. Green herbs and some vegetables in the aftertaste as well as a hint of butter. Growing bitter flavours and yeasty flavours with a touch of sulphur. The long finish is bitter with some fresh herbs.

The liquid is dry, almost harsh. The small bubbles are fresh and short-lived.

A straightforward and almost simple take on the Kellerbier style. I guess it will suit curious newcomers well.
