Pours a deep brown color with a very nice, one finger foamy off-white head that remains throughout most of the beer.
The scent is of sweet malts, and some pumpkin spice.
The taste is also of sweet roasted malts, cinnamon, bread, and noticeable alcohol presence.
Medium body, very smooth, low carbonation.
I really liked this beer through the first few sips, but it seemed like the alcohol taste really took over after that and diluted the flavor.

A clear dark caramel/copper color with a decent off-white cover and fair lacing. The aroma brings malt vinegar and sweet pumpkin cinnamon. Decent. The flavor brings tangy sharp pumpkin/sweet squash with cinnamon licorice all over it. There's a steady grass hop and bready yeast rolling around as well. It's a very smooth brew yet somewhat crispy, medium bodied brew. It exhibits some alcohol and based on that and the general tendency for pumpkin brews to overstay their welcome after one or two, I would say this is not a great session beer, but I can easily enjoy a few of these while the leaves are falling (and nobody's raking them). It really is one of the best pumpkin ales I've had. Tasty and a nice feel. Nice introduction to this brewery.
