Copenhagen 18/2 2022. 33 cl bottle from Beerdealer web-shop. As Jessenhofke BRWN. Blue label with some green vines and the name of the brewery in red and the name of the beer in bold white letters.
Pours murky dark brown with a red hue and a big off-white head. Settles as thin but consistent layer of foam covering the surface of the of the beer. Clinging to the side of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet almost sugary, malty odor mingling with a boozy scent. Caramel, toffee, brown sugar. Liqueur-like, sweet alcohol.
Light carbonation. medium thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet, potent and boozy. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry yet sugary.
Very sweet and sugary boozer.

Review: 33cl stubby bottle of Jessenhofke's BRWN, Belgian Brown Ale: 7% ABV
The beer is re-fermented in the bottle and all ingredients are organic. The little stubby bottle with BRWN spelled out in big lettering as the logo.
This looks lively, a very nice white frothy creamy head appears with a coloured beer of dark brown. Looks nice and solid. Good bit of carbonation.
Head maintains well and some good lacing apparent.
A good appearance to whet the appetite. Good start.
Nice smell on the nose, very fruity and a lovely chocolate, dark malty aroma with some caramel to boot.
On the taste opened up with nice big sweet mouthfuls, got the flavours of malts, caramel, of the chocolate, sugar, the barley, all nice at the start, all very refreshing in the taste.
Also a little hoppy too, quite a bit bitter, lingers on the tongue.
A very nice, tasty beer, loving the chocolate flavours, not too strong but is there in the background as a reminder.
Nice enough, a sweet beer with some bitterness that is manageable. An easy beer to drink and to enjoy. A good introduction to a Belgian Brown Ale, and the 7% is well hidden.

Light amber colour with a steady lacing of foam. Smell of tangerine and yeast. The taste is fruity and herby. Tangerine and lemon zest are there, but dark fruit and banana also make an appearance. The herbiness (coriander, fennel) is mainly present in the aftertaste, which is quite bitter and dry, while the first taste in the mouth is moderately sweet. It seems to be pretty hoppy for a belgian ale, including the taste of grapefruit in the swallowing. The hops linger well. Good beer, but hard to qualify. It appears to be a tripel to me, although 7.0 abv might be a bit too low for that. It certainly is not what i tend to expect from a "brown beer" (expected a dubbel), but it's quite a fine beer nonetheless.

Pours light brown, with some foam, not too much.
Smell is low, there's fruit and a slight roast.
Taste is not very fruity, with some very faint acidic apple and pear, some faint dark fruit, low lemon zest, also some banana; caramel malts, not entirely sweet, although there is a note of Belgian sugars;
Low roasted malts; mild nuttiness; a decent mix of spices (cocoa, clove, with herbs also, faintly minty)
A green note towards the end, but the hoppiness is mild, although it brings a nice bitter finish; yeasts are low;
The whole beer seems muted, toned down a lot; doesn't really say much, surprisingly bland.

A clear, brown beer with a small head.
Smell is fruity with yeast estersand has some cacoa-like smells. A light roastness that reminds of dark chocolate.
Taste is sweet and estery with some chocolate notes. The chocolate taste is a little artificial in combination with the esters. It appears to be cheap dry yeast, which is not my favorite. All together the beer tastes like it hasn't had the proper yeast. The mouthfeel is too sweet and full, which inhibits it's drinkability.
