at the end of the day, every brewery that isnt planning on making a lager needs a beer like this on their menu. even an amber or an esb type wont satiate the yellow beer drinking, and despite being in the state of craft beer, pueblo colorado still has its fill of yellow beer drinkers. i think in that context, this is an outstanding "ditch the 30 rack and come in for a few pints" kind of transition beer from those types to craft flavors. it has a little residual sweetness to it, mimicking some malt adjuncts, and it has a little more hops than people are used to, but european and subtle, so its not an affront to what they are used to. the freshness and simplicity are what make it tasty, and its sessionability is smart on behalf of the brewers. good bubbles and a nice round finish, smooth for what it is, and an easy paring with just about anything on their extensive food menu. i tend to gravitate towards the more interesting beers when i visit breweries, but i was happy to put back a few of these this weekend, especially given that a lot of their grub is on the heavy side. everyone should like this one well enough.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
