in my opinion a good belgian strong amber/brown ale with a big foam. sweet but balanced with the cocoa notes. other notes of caramel and candy sugar. very drinkable. medium/thin body but creamy in the mouth. not a masterpiece, but however an enjoyable amber/dark beer.

This is a dark, brownish, burnt-orange color with a negligible white head. The aroma is interesting. There's a lot of deep fruity esters, along with a misplaced hotness. Some pepper and a little malt. Citrus (orange peel) is another component of the smell. The aroma could be much better put together...too harsh. The taste is sweet, with a lot of fruit and malt. The fruit is mostly of pear, with a little honey. The malt really comes out in the flavor as well. Moderately high in carbonation. The hotness is still present in the flavor and body. All in all, this was not a great brew.

Good appearance. A beautiful intense red, very deep, with ruby edges. Dirty white head, quite compact and longstanding.
In the smell toasted malt, woody notes, vanilla. Some liquorosous notes.
A bit cloying.
The taste is vanilla, slightly liquorosous, with malt, dark malts, warm. Light woody. Dry fruit, maybe almond.
Then peach, and something tropical. A light astringency in the finish.
