Brewery calls this a "Cascadian Dark Ale" or black IPA. It's very dark brown with a substantial dark beige foam in the Ciney snifter. Poured from the 32 oz growler purchased at the brewery restaurant at Skagit Airport.
This stuff is seriously bitter. Some malt but not at all sweet. Charred grain and a mineral finish. And then it gets even more bitter. Hop aroma is pretty much missing. i don't think this shows flyers to its best advantage. Half a glass and I'm done.
