Had at Brouwers Cafe. Small, creamy, off-white head. Not much in the way of an aroma, especially for a DIPA. As the name implies and has described by the waiter, there is a big, long, lingering aftertaste. There is decent amount of carbonation. Not really sure about the aftertaste thing, though. I think this was brewed for Hoptoberfest.

08/11/07- Had on tap at the Bistro IPA Fest.
Presentation- Via the tap into taster glasses.
Appearance- A slight murky rust orange colored pour. Guessing a good amount of yeast sediment here. Keg conditioned? Spotty lacing and a smaller fast fading head.
Smell- Large scent of unripe grapefruit and oranges. Really not picking up a whole lot of malt in the nose.
Taste- Fusel alcohol taste (as the name would suggest), with a very extreme bitterness. Grapefruit and pine mix to scald your tongue. The lightest of toasted malt detected.
Mouthfeel- Large and lasting beyond bitter aftertaste with a higher than average carbonation level.
Drinkability- Seems like a hop head delight here..if you like things a bit unbalanced. As my friend nailed it on the head....it tastes like someone decent homebrew attempt at an IPA.
