Polished mahogany with ample lather and a malt-sweet aroma. The flavor is a balance of early caramel sweetness with light hop flavor and flat bittering, all of which ends abruptly with no showcase features except perhaps for a full mouthfeel. A simple ale, but it gets a clean bill of health for serviceable drinkability.

On-tap at the brewpub.
A: Amber-copper, off-white head, very little retention, excellent lace.
S: Earthy-mineral aroma, slight orange-zest, caramel and some underlying biscuity malt.
T: Caramel & biscuity malt, good bitterness, herbal & orange hop flavour. Nicely balanced & some good flavour for its weight.
M: Pleasant moderate body & carbonation. Quite good for its weight.
D: A very well-crafted brew, I'm just not overly fond of it myself.
