Served on draught into a snifter at The Uber Tavern in Seattle, WA. Flyer Tuck is a hazy dark gold with a white collar with light skim but fairly heavy lace.
The aroma is pretty subdued, malty with slight butterscotch like diactyl and a hint of vanilla.
The taste pretty malty and bittersweet, some belgian yeast spice, alcohol and plastic like phenols. Tin on the finish, which is on the dryer, spicy side.
The mouthfeel is pretty heavy for a BSPA, it's just a bit to thick, although pretty smooth.
While not a stellar take on the style, Flyer Tuck was unassuming, inoffensive, and generally easy drinking.
