Served in straight pint glass. Poured a lightly hazy light yellow color with over a half-inch of white head that had good retention and lacing.
The aroma featured a blast of Belgian-y yeast spice, a strong note of hops (a blend of mostly floral, with a bit of pine and citrus), and a very low, almost hidden, malt presence. The story was mostly similar on the tongue, the floral and fruit notes were the lead, the yeast added some support, the malt was quiet in the background. Sadly, the finish was a bit on the bitter side, which distracted from the whole.
The body was decent, light in a pleasant way, and the beer was enjoyable across the tongue. But, that bitter finish lingered, detracting from the enjoyment. Drinkability was good, especially if you're a fan of the style (which I tend not to be). Overall, a nicely made brew that you'll like if you're into the style. Worth a shot if you see it.
