Alright, so this was said to be 9.5% but an American Stout, geeze louise, a bit high, don't you think.
So with the bottle I had I decided for my newly acquired snifter, (recent birthday gift).
The appearance was a hazy dark brown color with a one finger white foamy head that stuck and concaves nicely.
The smell had a really nice boozy roasty chocolate to coffee flavoring. Light caramel came in as well.
The taste was sweet and roasty allowing the chocolate, coffee and caramel to into itself. Light cherry and vanilla came through in the flavor.
The mouthfeel was pretty full and was about medium bodied to give off a pretty good sipping aspect to it. For the ABV, well this might really well be an American Stout as the alcohol really ends up hiding itself in the mouthfeel.
Overall, well it's boozy in the smell but lacks a bit in the taste and mouthfeel. I'm not exactly sure what this beer wants to be but it is definitely one of their better beers. I would have this again.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
