Poured a wonderful deep dark black color with nice initial head and decent lacing. Wonderfully deep and dark roasted grain aroma with hints of coffee. Wonderful deep flavor with great roasted grains, and hints of chocolate and coffee. Very smooth and nicely dry going down. An excellent example of an Irish dry stout.

On cask at the brewpub.
Pours dark and thick, deep dark ruby with a nice brown chocolate head. Maybe a little colder than I would have liked out of a cask stout, but whatever.
Tasted and smelled like a run-of-the-mill, well-brewed dry stout. Malt profile leaned a little bit towards the dry chocolate side, with crumbled Oreos mixing with dry, burnt grain that was a little rougher in the aroma than in the flavor. The middle was creamy and the finish was a good dose of dry, potent hops that lingered long after the beer had been swallowed.

Enjoyed on cask at the Broad Ripple Brew Pub
Smell, bitter, hint of nuts, coffee, and chocolate.
Taste, big coffee notes with some nuts swimming along. I love the chocolate malt flavors going on in this one. Not too dry, but very crisp. Big flavors going on here, but with a medium body.
Overall, a fantastic beer that I could drink all night. Man I wish I had a keg of this stuff.
