This porter was served a pitch black with a thick slightly off white head. The head hung around for the entire time. The beer had a very slight coffee flavor. Not very hoppy at all. This beer has a somewhat thick and very creamy mouthfeel. The creamy smoothness of this beer makes it a very drinkable porter but slightly lacking in body.

(Served in a ½ pint glass)
A- This beer has a opaque black body with a light tan head of soapy film that last for a good bit. The beer is too dark to see any carbonation.
S- This beer has the smell of dark roasted malt with a light smoky hint and some caramel malt notes in the background.
T- The taste of black roasted malt has hints of caramel malt and coffee mixed in with a smoke note coming through as it warms. There are nice notes of dry wood and prunes before the light malt bitterness in the finish.
M- This beer has a medium-light mouthfeel with a slight slippery texture.
D- This beer has some nice depth to the malt but no real big dark malt flavors.

Chocolatey, murkey brown looking liquid with hints of scarlet where the light shines through. Large tan head retains itself well leaving sticky lace behind.
Coffee and robust bitter chocolate aromas. Roasty malty aromas as well.
Creamy, milky smooth mouthfeel, roasted chocolate malt, bitter bakers chocolate, some currant flavors with a black cherry finish.
Great porter on cask.

Appearance is a nice dark brown, with a creamy head.
Smell is malty, with chocolate and roast notes.
Taste is exceptional, with slight sweetness and roasty, chocolately, coffee flavors detectable.
Mouthfeel is smooth, creamy, with a nice solid body.
Overall, this is a very drinkable beer, and the low alcohol means you can have a few without getting sloshed.

Deep brown with hints of amber... some light passes through. Has a two finger cream colored head, which settles to 1/4 inch. Aroma is very faint, with some malt and chocolate notes. Flavor is more pronounced... chocolate, malt, some light coffee notes, and a light herbal finish. Very smooth and creamy mouthfeel with a medium body. A well done beer that would be good over the course of a session.
