Thinking how great it was to have a brewpub nearby, I was very excited to start my Saturday evening close to where I was staying.
Unfortunately, this place looked like a wannabe TGI Friday's, with all its obnoxious wood panel. It earned its atmosphere points with the incredible live music that was there that night, and with the upstairs sitting area, that had an assortment of seating, including couches. It was comfy and cozy, though you had to go downstairs to the bar to order your beer.
So, it was styled and lit like Friday's, though the service couldn't be farther from it. No perky American pep here. None at all. Which is fine. But, to not only be unfriendly, but to be downright rude is another. My friend asked for tap water, and she was told they didn't serve it. Basically, they made her purchase a bottle of water. So, what water are they using when serving tea-bag teas?
Of course, I had a beer. The pickings were slim! They have a nice long list of beers, yet, maybe only 4 of them were available.
I finished my amber (and not a great one) and was just happy to leave. Definitely not happy to have paid the equivalent of $10 for the craptastic beer, either.

Modern and slick place, almost empty on the Thursday evening before the 1st European Beer Festival (Sep 2008). Of those that came in or were already none spoke to my wife and I, apart from the barmen.
Entrance looks boring, but once inside you can see it is an up-market type of joint. There is an eating area to the rear, extra seats upstairs and downstairs you find the brewing equipment, a night club, posh long tables with stainless barrels in the centre and the toilets.
Unlike the other reviews the staff were pleasant, polite and helpful on my visit.
5 beers on tap, all brewed on the premises and very cold, in fact too cold to even try and review (as I intended to do). They do a taster tray of all 5, but I didn't bother with that having a Red and Black beer which might have been tasty if they weren't chilled so much.

This is not the place to go, if you really enjoy beer. Their lineup of typical 5 of their own brews (Has seasonals and Blond and Amber lager in common with Færgekroen in Tivoli) is not very impressive. High prices, loud music and heavy smoking is characterizing this brewpub. Service is so so. The waitress I was asking for advice couldn't give much info on the beers, other than they were brewed at the premises. This brewpub IMO is not made out of love for beer, but out of love for money. Beerdrinking is very hyped in Denmark at the moment, and the Strecker Bros. (the owner of the place) is trying to get their share of the cake by introducing this dispensable brewpub. I've visited the place twice and the experience was similar at both visits.
