Kind of an odd story about this brew,it was originally brewed at around 6-6.5%abv but there was a problem with refigerator holding the kegs downstairs freezing the beer for two days causing water to evaporate and it to become more potent I guess like an EIS IPA?Anyways it is extract brewed here so I didnt expect much poured into a standard pint a deep copper with a well formed two finger slight off white head that had great lasting power, aromas of earthy hop and deep brown sugar maltiness neither overpowers the other really. Not a real big hop profile on the palate mainly earthy tones with a touch of citrus finishing with that ever present brown sugar/molasses malt extract flavoring in the finish. Not bad really with some nuance to it you would never know the alchol content of the beer but it is what it is a extract brew but a decent one at that.
