On draft at brewery, 02/11/08.
Cloudy, unfiltered yellow. Lots of particulate matter swirling around. Mistook this for the hefeweizen at first!
No mistaking that aroma, though; grapefruit and pine hops.
Taste is a little sweet (though no malt profile is readily apparent) with citrus and piney hop flavors. Simple hop juice, though not badly done.
If hops are your thing, then you ought to like this. I like a little bit of balance and complexity, so I am not a fan.

This was my favorite of the beers available. This beer was a shade or two darker than the pale ale. It looked like a brownish copper color that was nice and clear. Nice head and lacing.
It smelled strongly of hops but the brewer insisted that there was no dry hopping involved which threw me a little. The description on the menu for this one was about the same as the pale ale, that is it should smell grassy. The taste was more on the hoppy side but it was also quite malty. It followed about the same ratio of hoppiness to maltiness as the pale ale. It was moderately bitter as it is an IPA.
Mouthfeel was good, thick enough for the style and the time of year. I enjoyed this one and would drink it again, assuming I go back there.
