My family lives up in Everett, WA and my little sister just so happened to live across the street from this brewery. Dark as night with a dark tan frothy head, moderate retention. Smell has strong notes of dark chocolate and espresso, a little smoke in there. The taste is where this beer shines, amazingly smooth and complex. Follows the nose, with hints of dark chocolate and coffee, finishing bitter and dry. Feels a little thin, I typically prefer my stouts thick as used motor oil. Overall a great beer.
